At times I am presented the opportunity to share our puppies and dogs with families whose members have special needs. Some people need a canine companion to help them cope with their emotional or physical handicaps.
Canine Companions help the individual deal with their daily struggles with a partner(dog) to help ease the turmoil that comes with their disability. I place dogs in homes of adults with medical, emotional, or physical disabilities. Children with problems such as OCD, Tourette Syndrome, Autism, and more enjoy the love and friendship that comes with their canine companion. These puppies and dogs become Service, Emotional, or Therapy dogs that enhance the lives of their owners. This placement benefits both the dog and owner by allowing the owner to cope and move forward.
I am honored that a Four Paws Terrier made a difference in another person's life.
